Privacy Policy

What this site collects

Very little. There is no account to create, nothing to buy, and no advertising. The site sets no cookies, writes nothing to your browser's storage, and loads nothing from anyone else — the typeface, the photographs, the code and the visitor statistics described below all come from this domain.

Cookies

There are none. That is also why you were never shown a banner asking about them.

Hosting and server logs

The site is a set of static files served by Cloudflare. Like any host, it records ordinary request data — an IP address, a time, a page, a browser — in order to serve the page and keep the service running. Nothing on our side reads those logs to build a picture of anyone, or joins them to a person.

Visitor statistics

To see how the site is used, it counts visits with Umami, an open-source analytics tool built to work without cookies. It runs on our own server, not as someone else's service. When a page loads, Umami receives the address of the page, the page that sent you here, your browser, operating system, device type, screen size and language, and your approximate location — country, region and city — which it works out from your IP address. It also notes a few actions: opening a photograph, following the email, WhatsApp or Instagram links, and sending the contact form — only which way it was sent, never what you wrote.

Umami does not keep your IP address. What it gives us is how many people came and what they looked at, not who they are. It is not used for advertising and it is not shared with anyone. Blocking it changes nothing about how the site works.

The contact form

It does not send anything. It writes a message and hands it to WhatsApp or to your own mail app; you press send. What you write reaches us through that service and under that service's privacy policy, not this one. Until you press send, nothing has left your device.

What we hold once you get in touch

Your name and contact details, the date and place of a shoot, whatever you tell us about it, and afterwards the photographs themselves. A photograph of someone who can be recognised is personal data, and we treat it as such. We use it to answer you, to quote, to plan and to deliver the work. We do not sell it, and we do not send marketing you did not ask for.

Where we use an outside service to store, deliver or back up files, it holds the material on our instructions and for no other purpose.

Photographs of people

Every photograph of an identifiable person on this site is published with the agreement of the people in it. Photographs of children appear here only with a parent's or guardian's agreement. If you are in one and would rather not be, write to us and it comes down — you do not have to give a reason.

Keeping and deleting

We keep correspondence and finished work for as long as there is a working reason to — a reprint, a reissue, a returning client — and no longer. Ask us to delete what we hold and we will, unless we are required to keep it.

Your rights

Indonesian law — Law No. 27 of 2022 on Personal Data Protection — and, where it applies to you, the GDPR give you the right to ask what we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, to object to what we do with it, and to withdraw consent you gave earlier. Write to us and we will answer.

The photographs

Every photograph here was made by APTI STUDIO and remains ours. Copyright arises on creation under Indonesian law — Law No. 28 of 2014 on Copyright — and publishing the work here does not give it up. Commissioning a shoot buys the photographs and the licence we agree for them; it does not transfer the copyright unless something in writing says so.

Please do not copy, download, republish, crop, retouch or use them commercially without asking first. Please do not remove the authorship and copyright information written into the files. And please do not use them as training data or dataset material for machine-learning or generative models, by any means, including automated collection.

Linking to this site is welcome and needs no permission. The restrictions are about the files, not the address.

If you want to use one

Ask. Most requests are reasonable and most answers are yes, on terms we agree in writing first.

An enquiry is not a booking

Messages sent from this site are enquiries. A commission begins when we both sign a separate written agreement covering scope, fee, delivery and licence. Where this page and that agreement disagree, the agreement wins.

No warranty

The site is offered as it is. We keep it accurate but do not promise that it is complete, current or uninterrupted, and prices, availability and the work shown can change without notice.

The site links out to Instagram. What happens once you follow a link is that site's business, not ours.

If this page changes, the date at the top changes with it. Questions, requests and takedown notices all go to the same place: aptistudio@gmail.com.
